review 1: Finally! A female character who stands up for herself. As I read it I kept comparing it to another favorite, Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich, and to the Maggody characters as created by Joan Hess. It was an entertaining, fun, quick read which is chock full of zany characters and off-the-wall action. Add in a couple of romantic situations with two hunky men, and it was straight out Plum good! Dr Holly, a divorced psychologist, has a slew of patients who she treats for various mental issues, seems that she would be a fun person to have around. I even liked that she occasionally just threw on casual gear to play with her pup, Mike. I did have to say it wasn't particularly perceptive of her not to realize the problem Mike was having, and why it really got worse after a playd... moreate. Can we say obvious? But that was the only negative thought I had about this light, fun read. I recommend it for anyone who just wants something to read at the beach or instead of tv.
review 2: Kate Holly is a psychologist ever since she accidentally blew up her office with nitroglycerin. She thought the patient was bluffing. She has been one step away from going crazy. First she,s still in love with her exhusband a fire fighter. They both want to give it another try. But with her oddball patients, her meddling mother, and her eccentric secretary thrown into the mix not to mention a rash of suspicious fires will Kate be able to put her life back together or end up in a padded cell. a fun quick read. less

I think I liked this one better than the first one. I like the build up in this one.
