review 1: Thanks to Good reads for choosing me as a First Reads Winner.It was a nice little inspiring story that will finally help you guide to enjoy the passage of life, especially for young children.The writing was quite fresh and engaging and I loved the author's approach of depicting how we humans should live our lives and ultimately finding joy in the whole process.The author has even tried to justify his stories by pouring so many philosophies of life, which will ultimately enlighten you mind to live life in a happy way!If possible, do give a read to this motivating self-help book!
review 2: The idea that the author’s main focus while writing this book was to guide his children through a happy life was very intriguing to me. The fact that it is centered in Roatan... more was another selling point. I’ve always wanted to vacation there, and would move there in a second if I could, even though I’ve never been. It’s got beautiful beaches and water, and nothing makes me happier than being at the beach.The book is a lesson for living your life to the fullest. It’s main purpose is to teach you that everyone can be happy, you just have to find what makes you happy. The book was written as a fiction, but also reads like a lighter version of a self-help book. There are some lessons that can help you on your path to live the best life you can live.I loved how Roatan came alive on the pages, I felt like I was there. I’d love to take the book with me on a trip to Roatan and visit all the places mentioned.Some of my favorite saying from the book are “Condition the mind, daily practice leads to proper action”, “Empower yourself, direct and control your thoughts” and “Simplify your life, wants are not needs”.There were a few photos in the book, and while I’d have liked them to be in color, they still were very nice.This is a wonderful book that I definitely would recommend. less
