review 1: OK I enjoyed the idea of this series but it didn't quite get there in reality. the brothers were interesting and could have been really captivating but to me they weren't developed enough. Amber was just completely unrealistic as well as her storyline which in turn made her character predictable and the romance between her and the three brothers utterly unrealistic. overall this book was a disappointment I'm not sure if I will continue on with the series.
review 2: I enjoyed the other Chloe Lang books I've read, including the Wilde series and the Strong series. I plowed through those quickly and waited anxiously for the next installment. Captured by Cowboys is not in the same league with those books. It was very repetitive, with the characters regurgitating ... morethe same thoughts endlessly. There wasn't much sex, and the little there was was not particularly engaging, not even the characters seemed to enjoy it very much. The underlying plot device putting the heroine in danger was interesting, but didn't take up much of the story. I don't think this book is up to Ms. Lang's usual standards. Hopefully she'll be back in the saddle for the next installment, because I'm sure there will be more. I hope to actually care about the characters in the next one. less
