review 1: The second in this mystery series lived up to the expectations I had after reading the first. The characters, the Springsteen lyrics, and Jersey shore setting all set this apart from other mysteries. John Ceepak has a Code that he lives by, and it is hard for Danny or anyone else to quite toe the line that well. But Danny tries, he does try.And what you did long ago, what you may not even remember doing, has consequences, has a ripple effect you might never see coming.For the genre, this is an entertaining, quick read.
review 2: It was interesting to read one of Grabenstein's adult novels after plowing through his children's cannon. These would make great Summer reads (especially on vacation). The seaside town, carnival games, tourists, a mayor who won't adm
... moreit that there's a crazy killer on the loose because it will hurt business and a young man who is trying to get the last full time spot on the police force for the rest of the year combine to make a tidy package.I will probably be reading more of these. less

easy summer reading..not as clever as the first, tilt-a-whirl, but will keep reading the series.
