John Ceepak Mystery
review 1: 3.5 Boy, it seems that no one is safe from being murdered in one of these books. Poor Katie! Interesting information about the goings-on backstage of big-time magic acts. This time, Ceepak and Danny are down in Atlantic City to take depositions for Ceepak's father's court case. While there, Danny's old friend and ex-girlfriend winds up dead in a pretty horrific way. This series is an odd one. It's light-hearted in some ways, but the crimes are pretty gruesome. I was surprised by the turn this one took toward the end.
review 2: I am really enjoying this series. The characters are developing like they should and the stories can stand by themselves so not a lot of time is spent on background. I loved the background on Ceepaks father & how he almost lost his code b
... moreecause like all of us he is human. Danny is growing but still has the young smart alec wit that makes the team work. Good job and so glad that I bought the whole series! less
