review 1: I enjoyed this book as I've had a slight obsession with Selena since I was a child. It was fun to get to know her better. I didn't like the style of writing much. I also found the chapter on their pets horrifying- 5 puppies in 1 yr? Not only impulsive, but very selfish. I wonder if she would have become more of a diva with some of the impulsive stuff Chris outlined. I also wonder if they would have lasted. As it stands, it was a very sweet homage to her and it made me sad thinking of what could have been for them.

... moredn't really add to the book. I was hoping for more insight into his work with Selena y Los Dinos prior to he and Selena getting together and their creating of music. Also, the lack of dates in segments made everything happen so quickly (granted their relationship was fairly short). Not much in this book was surprising, except how obvious it seems that Yolanda Saldivar was mentally ill and obsessed - it's hard to believe no one really took action against her until it was too late but hindsight is always 20/20. less
