review 1: While there is much to be said (and has been said) about the philosophies within the titanic world of Lost, this book takes on few of those ideas and instead focuses largely on the specific characters and their relationships. Structuring the book this way is an interesting choice and not inappropriate, considering that the show's characters are some of the most complicated and dynamic of any television show. It approaches Lost from a distinctly Christian viewpoint, and while there were many interesting connections noted in The Gospel According to Lost, I was hoping for a bit more depth. If you are a fan of the show and couldn't help but notice the obvious Christian imagery in Lost, pick this one up.
review 2: Chris Seay's book does a decent job of bringing up
... morethemes of truth, mystery, love, and theology found throughout the Lost series. Where it falls short, however, is in the fact that the majority of the material is more of a summary of the events of the show instead of commentary. I found myself wanting more of his insights at the end of each chapter, but it seemed that every chapter just tip-toed into interpreting the themes found.I am glad I bought and read the book, though. It was entertaining at times and hlthought-provokig throughout. If you're a fan of the show or simply enjoy finding theological ideas in pop-culture you'll probably enjoy the book. less

Interesting look into the Christian aspects of a very popular and deeply mysterious tv show.

Much more LOST than Gospel. The connection between LOST and theology is a little weak.
