review 1: 3.5 starsI have to say, this didn't start all that well for me, I don't like it when guys manhandle girls, ordering them around "because they know better". I specially don't like it when the girls let them do that and say "they're powerless against them". It makes me feel like we're 70 years in the past. Women can be strong and HAVE to be, at times, to be respected.But, after my initial discomfort, I have to say it was a very beautiful story and I think it has potencial to be a full lenght novel if the author would be of a mind to put more effort into it. I think there's a lot more to be said for all the caracters and not everything has to be about sex all the time, this story wasn't... although there were some really steamy times in it ;)
review 2: Rating 4 St... morears for the original (would have been 5 but it was short) 0 Stars for the extension (what a fiasco!)I loved this story when it first came out; sweet, hot and sexy with it's HEO! When I found out it was extended I was thrilled to get another look at this cute couple. I was so disapointed in the course that the author took for this book. She took Aiden who in the first part was so hot, sexy, and wonderful and turned him into a douchebag. The original story that held so much promise ended up leaving a bad taste in the mouth.First off he tells her he wants her but he wanted to be her last lover and to do that she has to go out and date other guys and have other lovers, huh??? She is upset, rightly so, but she goes out on a date and he still is not satisfied.During this time her father tells her Aiden is seeing someone else, she confronts him and instead of stetting her straight he says lets have some goining away sex, and he lets her go ...AGAIN!She is devastated, goes off to school and doesn't come back for several months, during which time her mother tells her Aiden has brought around a new girlfriend, several in fact which hurts her even more.By the end she finds out her father had misconstrued things and Aiden had not benn cheating on her (though while she was gone away at school the last time he did have other girlfriends) she goes to him to apologize about thinking he was cheating on her and he is still angry with her. He supposedly loves her but instead of accepting and forgiving her and owning his part in this fiasco he says MORE hurtful things to drive her away when his actions started this whole debacle in the first place. So Disapointing. less
