review 1: Chris Robertson decides to spend his last two days before deployment telling his beloved twin sister bye. Arriving at her house late and not wishing to wake her he wakes up with the totally unexpected. Chris is supposedly the “bad boy.” I just didn’t see it. He is swoon worthy and an incredibly sexy lover. This sexy little novella answers so many questions while building an insane amount of anticipation for the next book. Having read Operation: Endeavor, book #2 in the When the Mission Ends series I was so pleased to get all the details about what was the tension between Julie and Chris all about. Publish date for Operation: Endeavor cannot get here soon enough. I want to read more about these two. Considering their parting words I want to read that book... more now.
review 2: Before the Mission Begins is a novella prequel to book 3 in the When The Mission Ends trilogy. It can also be read as a prequel to book 1 in the series, Operation Endgame. But it makes more sense if you read it after book 2, "Operation Endeavor". It gives you that ah ha moment that you pondered about in book 2.When The Mission Ends Trilogy is a story about three siblings who are military brats and carry on the tradition. The two brothers make a career out of the air force and the sister makes a career as a college professor who teaches modern warfare.The first two books were romantic suspense and very sexy. Each book has an individual plot as well as the big ongoing plot that is the basis for the series. Air Force pilot Chris Robertson has gone through ever loving hell and is on the road back to recovery and trying to reclaim his life back. Before The Mission begins lays the ground work for book 3, Operation Endurance. The novella starts out on his last weekend before deployment and an unexpected romance. Definately read this before reading the final book.This entire series is excellent! Christi Snow has a gift for writing. She writes chilling romantic suspense, red hot romance, and creates the most outstanding characters.I highly recommend this series! less
