review 1: During Gabriel's little speech about his undying feelings for Madeline, I melted into a puddle of "where can I buy the nearest Gabriel and keep him." But then, when the unspeakable (I'm so destroyed that I cannot even say it) happened to him, I evaporated up into the cloud named "why is the world still spinning, it should have stopped when the unspeakable happened to Gabriel." Needless to say, I was hit quite hard by the fate of Gabriel, despite already knowing that would happen. It pretty much ruled my thoughts all day during class, well when I wasn't thinking about food, and I'm sure that is Gabriel and Madeline don't get their angelic butts back together I'm pretty sure I will be forever miserable and spending the rest of my years living alone wallowing in despair. Othe... morer than the death of my favorite couple's relationship, I do enjoy this series. I'm currently in the mood where I don't enjoy urban fantasy as much, but this series is truly well written. I utterly love Maddy and Beezle's relationship and their endless bickering even during the most unlikely times. Also, Lucifer is quite a character and if he wasn't the devil himself, I'd pin him as one of my favorite characters.
review 2: Dear Henry… I'm sorry but I won't finish this book. The general idea was good, it has great potential, but in my opinion the books lack something. First of all, the main character is not really coherent, she goes from scared little kitty to lioness in less than two months. Than I must say I didn't like Gabriel, like never. The only one that interest me is Lucifer, and obviously he is not the main character. Many things could have been developed with more attention: first of all the Death Agent job; a very good idea, and then the fact that she is pregnant. I feel like this book wasn't really satisfying at all. less
