review 1: This was another good entry in this series. I can't say too much plotwise because a lot of what Maddy is dealing with emotionally is a result of events from the previous book. I will say I find the path she is going down interesting and like that Beezle is calling her out on some of her actions. I'm interested to see how that evolves as the series goes on. Beezle as usual provided some much needed levity, and he continues to be one of my favorite characters. I really love that gargoyle! The end of the book definitely left me curious to see what happens next!
review 2: Another solid installment- one of my favorite current series out there. While reading it the only criticism I had was that a battle seemed to wrap up way too quickly. Which was actually a strange
... morethought for me to have since I always skim fighting scenes no matter how well written they are. So it wasn't a problem for me, but if someone reads urban fantasy for the action they might be a little disappointed with a couple of scenes. Last 2 cents: I hope Beezle doesn't get any cheekier or figure much more prominently in subsequent books. He's right on the line of crossing into a little annoying. But just a little. less
