review 1: I didn't care for this too much. I liked the first book in the series, Wife for Hire, so gave this one a try. But, the heroine, Sarabeth is kind of naive, a little stupid and not all that relatable. The hero, Gavin, is not very expressive and comes across a bit cold. By the end, I didn't really care if they were together or not. I've read a number of Christine Bell books and liked them, but this one just didn't do it for me.

The storyline stayed within the genre and I liked the helpless female with not too alpha male lead characters. This is the second book in a series and I think it could be a stand alone but it may have helped ... moreto have read the first. I didn't and I still think the second book was good. The characters were developed lightly since there was a first book and the storyline flowed good. The cover was okay, and the title didn't really do much for me but the synopsis sounded good. Sarabeth and Gavin had some chemistry but it wasn't overblown, I could of gone for more chemistry but the overall effect was ideal. Overall entertainment value three and a half stars. less
