review 1: Ien's life seems difficult enough with his parent's controlling ways. Then an explosion leaves him injured and descending into a place where reality and madness are distorted. I spent much of the time trying to understand what was REALLY happening until I realized it was all delusions and hallucinations. My sorrow for him became deeper. A powerful exploration into the mind and what it can do when it is broken.
review 2: After I finished the book I was feeling WTF did I just read and in a not good way. I still feel that way, a few days after finishing the book. The end just made me realize how crazy the hero was. It's a story with twists and not for the faint hearted. I was expecting way more than I got. To be homestead and not wanting to offend the author, ... morebut I felt like the pieces of the story were poorly patched together. Their story could have been more expanded and with more details. less
