review 1: Having had the pleasure of seeing this author in action at one point in my life, and having lived in a similar kind of environment for a short time, I would like to differ with those posts that indicate the characters and their behaviors are unbelievable. Scary as it may seem, everything you read here could have easily come from some combination of real life experiences. What I see shining through in this message is Christine's wonderful blend of right-brained creativity and left-brained genius. While she would say the main character is not modeled after herself, there is definitely some Christine there, which made it all the more fun for me to read. She is one of those rare few that really truly care about others, and often do so in a truly unique ... moreway.
review 2: This book was a treasure to read. It does have the typical LDS tone, but the message within the book was just plain cute. I like description of the Organ, and the way she wrote it I felt myself wishing I could hear it, instead of reading about it.This book is an easy read. About a woman named Cath who is trying to fit in her new ward. Three months of one devastating moment after another, she finds herself wanting to pack up her family and move back to Utah. Decides against it only when an little old Sleeping Beauty, and her Relief Society tells her of all of the good she has done in the past three months. less
