review 1: From page one, I couldn't put this book down. I haven't ridden an emotional roller coaster like that in a while. Christopher Allan Poe will knock the wind out of you, and won't even give you time to catch your breath before he does it again. This is a must read for anyone who loves a good thriller! Be prepared to dedicate a solid few hours of time to reading though, because you will want to read it cover to cover. I will be thinking about every sinister twist this book took for days to come. I can't wait to see what Christopher Allan Poe has up his sleeves next.

THE PORTAL is part thrille... morer, part paranormal-horror show, and all page-turning excitement. Poe's debut novel delivers on its promise of how far a mother will go to protect her child, and how far evil will go to get what it wants. I can't wait to read more books from fiction's newest Prince of Darkness. less
