Phoenix has done it again! Just when I seriously think I’ve got my handle on her books, they completely blow me out of the water. For a moment, I had stop and think if I was reading another great author, who’s known for her rather dark tales. And she’s known for some scary shit. It was that insane.

Her writing is absolutely hot, and if you think I’m exaggerating, read it! I totally felt it down to my toes and other unmentionables that I really shouldn’t say. But if I wasn’t getting off on this thing, I was crying. Sooo crying. Getting hot and crying. And angry. Very angry. Some of these characters are beyond vexing and when Gabby wasn’t speaking up or believing in Kieran-

But just… wow. The writing was fantastic, the tone was dark and serious but just so sweet in some moments and hot and then suspenseful. I loved that not everything was revealed right away, and at the same time, kept making you think the worse but hope for the best. The things thought up in this dark, sex world were just… wow. I loved how scary it’d seem to someone who didn’t have much kinks, but could seem like such a cool thing for those who didn’t need the acquired taste.

It’s a definite recommend not only for this book, but for this author as well. I’ve loved her writing and to see it get so much darker with her creativity? WOW. You don’t want to miss this author’s newest work. Bravo, Phoenix. Bravo.
