review 1: it was okay...it could have been a lot better....the plot started to get good, then fizzled, then it started picking up again...and fizzled. The weird part was how all of a sudden, this woman is totally relying on God and is considered a true Christian by her friend. Until the end of the book, God wasn't mentioned at all. I have no problems with God, Christianity or religion (I'm a practicing Catholic) but to throw it in at the end made no sense, it was almost as silly as a super passionate non-realistic sex scene....totally had NOTHING to do with the book and skipping it wouldn't have make the book any less interesting.
review 2: The characters are what make this book the enjoyable read it is. While the mystery is, indeed, intriguing, it’s how the heroine
... more and her best friend take action and interact with each other that makes the reader turn pages. Set in the fictional town of Boring, Indiana, life becomes unusually complicated for the heroine shortly after she and her husband move to town. Thrust into the middle of the situation, she must solve the mystery before the killer kills her. Highly recommended. less
