review 1: This was a pure joy and delight to read. This is my 4th story by this talented author; who knew she has such a wicked sense of humor! I loved it and literally found myself laughing out loud during numerous scenes of this book. As with the previous reads, Christy has a wonderful way of pulling you in to the story and characters flawlessly. Margot is a receptionist in the Flannery/Williams architecture firm, but is working on obtaining her nursing degree. She has a secret crush on Phil Williams, who we meet in Heart of Glass, and she has to sit by and watch as he dates all these beautiful woman. His family in Illinois has insisted that he bring his "girlfriend" to his Fathers retirement party. He just broke up with his last "girlfriend" because she had too much "baggage", so... more he ask Margot to pretend to be his girlfriend and go meet his family. This is where all the fun begins. I loved that we got to see Danny and Kate in this story and I also love how Christy wove a little twist in this lighthearted story (which she does so well). This was a quick read and kept me entertained and happy throughout. Would highly recommend this story and all of Christy's reads, she is really wonderful.
review 2: The Sweetheart Hoax, by Christy Hayes, is sweet, funny, and hot! Margot Manning, the heroine, has to quit the job she loves to achieve her career goals. But leaving her job also means she has to leave the man she's secretly loved for the last three years, Phil Williams, who barely knows she exists as anything more than his office receptionist. An unexpected opportunity throws Margot together with Phil, and the interference of his mom complicates things even more. Once I started reading The Sweetheart Hoax, I couldn't put it down. I'm in love with this couple and in love with this story. If you like sweet, funny, and hot romances, you're going to love this newest book by author Christy Hayes! less
