review 1: A strange and wonderful collection of stories that ran the gambit of genres. Wendig's writing has the odd quality of leaving feeling raw and hungry for more. There was one story 'Lethe and Mnemosyne' I think? That was short enough that I missed when it ended and was very confused for a moment. On the flip side I thought 'Mister Mhu's Pussy Show' went on a bit long. My favorite story was a tie between 'Dog-Man and Cat-Bird' and 'The Auction', and my least favorite is 'A Radioactive Monkey'. But it's all a matter of degrees because all of the stories are excellent.
review 2: I really enjoy Chuck's writing style. This collection of short stories is a great showcase of the different (crazy) ideas that runs through this mans mind. I have followed his blog, TerribleM
... moreinds, for over a year now, and I was very excited to see how his twisted and humorous writing style would turn to fiction. I was surprised (pleasantly so) that the tone of his fiction is more down to earth, this in no way detracts from the style; nor from the unusual and out of this world nature (some times literally) of the stories. less

Chuck Wendig sent me this himself as a reward for being an AHBoT. Loving it so far.
