review 1: Jessie and Wilson are on another mystery, Wilson has asked Jessie to help him on a case that requires a "pool shark", and no one on the force can play or bet as well as Jessie. She takes her good friends Karen and Cindy along to help support her while she's at a "dive" of a pool hall called Wade On Inn! The ladies have me laughing. And Jessie is working on another one of her "borderline pornagraphy" books!
review 2: I adore this series. The main character is 50 something, sexy, witty, writes romance for a living (and takes you along for the ride in her latest book), and has a cat. Add to that the mayhem she and her pals get into and seriously, what's not to love? The characters in her world are so well defined that you know them - I swear you do (or mayb... moree someone just like them). These books are a very comfy, cozy, read. LOVE them. less
