review 1: This book in the series is a real nail biter! We delve more into Gabe's new diagnosis as well as watch Mia start to take back control of her life by meeting up with her father. I am proud of both of them and the work they have put into themselves in order to make their own futures better. Mia is still ever in denial about a few things and makes me believe she lies to herself in order to rationalize her behavior and decisions she is making. Again the naivete she has shows greatly in this story. How ever I feel she made great strides in this one. Both her and Gabe have put in tons of work and should be proud of themselves. I am sad that Doug and Lexi are at odds per say and that she seems to be making the same mistakes as Mia did. Mia finally is able to put herself in Ga... morebe's shoes with certain situations but is it enough? Is it in time? This cliff hanger is a doozy!
review 2: An authors summary of Love & LossThe fifth book in the series, and approaching the climax, Love & Loss is all about Mia finally trying to deal with, and let go of, the past, once and for all.She is determined to free herself of the fears and doubts that still plague her, and give herself over to Gabe wholeheartedly and without reservation. She realises that when you love someone, part of being in love is making your partners hope and dreams come to life, and that is what she is aiming to do.Comparing the Mia in Love & Loss, to the Mia from New Leaves, No Strings, I really hope that the reader will see just how much she has grown and how far she has come on her journey.Love & Loss was written with the intention of showing the reader that if Mia continues down this path, a HEA is within her grasp.CJ x less
