review 1: This book is everything I hate about self published unedited independent authors. I have enjoyed several other self published unedited independent authors, but this price is a prime example of why so many people hate it. The writing is sloppy, the plot is as loose as the main character, the timeline contradicts itself, the actions of the characters aren't kept straight, there are typos all over the place, zero chemistry between any of the characters, just hey here's a sex scene I wrote in 7th grade and I have to connect it to this other sex scene I wrote in 8th grade so, umm how about they text each other? Cara, the main character doesn't even have chemistry with her BFF. And as a military spouse, I find Cara and her attitude about the whole relationship insulting. The stor... morey has SO much potential. This rough draft needs to be turned back to the student for revisions and editing.
review 2: I just finished reading this. I smiled; got sad and had tears. i feel like it ended up in my back yard as it started out in California and ended in Colorado (my home). it is a sweet love story of two people finding each other then deployment happens n The soldier gets injured by a road side bomb and thinks he is not worth being loved still so he lies to the one he loves. She moves to Colorado grieving and in the end encounters her love again. Read it it is worth it. less
