review 1: Claudy Conn's choice of words in this book is very interesting. A mixture of innocence and wickedness! This short story gives you a glimpse of the series. A small introduction before the story starts. It's about how the Seelie Fae came to Earth and live in Ireland and Scotland. The Seelie Fae Queen named Aaibhe fell in love with a Druid (a High Priest) but one of her formal lover poisoned Conall MacTalbots out of jealousy and think humans should be slaves but Aaibhe lost her beloved. Centuries has passed and still her enemy lives. She looked after Conall's sons even after they died. They chose mortality when she offered them immortality life. The story is very interesting and continues on to the next books.
review 2: The story is a short and is a spinoff from a
... more series. This I did not know when I started to story.I found the rapid pace, the fact that the story is not really set in a place etc a bit disconcerting. It goes from dialogue to passion to somewhat ecplicit sex to death, murder and betrayal all in a few short pages.I think I would have enjoyed it more had I some point of reverence. Still it is not a bad story and the author is obviously good at what she does.I am sure the series itself is a smashing read and well worth the money and time to read it.WaAr less
