review 1: Dominick Kane has never had a relationship with his father, Vincent Kane. When the older Kane dies, his son is left without the shares of Kane & Medici Law Firm that he believes are his birthright. Dominick then plans an elaborate scheme to kidnap Victor Medici’s daughter and demand an exchange. To his surprise, he ends up with the wrong person.Rain and Raven Medici are identical twins, but their similarities are only external. Raven works as a lawyer in their father’s firm and is concerned with appearances. Rain is a photographer with a rare blood disorder. She is kind and grew up secluded from the outside world, by her overbearing mother. When she finds herself kidnapped by Dominick Kane, her feisty personality makes an appearance and Dominick realizes he migh... moret’ve bit off more than he can chew.The chemistry between these two is setting off the fireworks. Dominick is possessive and most of the time he is very irrational. Soon after, they strike a deal so he can regain what he’s always wanted. But, fate can never be rushed or played and they both find themselves giving in to their attraction.There are many characters in this story and they all play a large role. There is something going on between Tommy, Rain’s best friend, Raven, and Michael, Tommy’s brother and Raven’s fiancé. Then there’s Anna and Joseph, the older couple living with Dominick. Many secrets threaten to come out and others are beginning to reveal themselves.There were times when I felt so sorry for Dominick and wanted to cry for him, but then he went back to his crazy ways and I ended up mad at him instead. Rain also upset me at times, but she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders for the most part.There were some instances where certain things weren’t really explained, like how Tommy found out Dominick’s identity, but I hope this is explained in the next book.Cleo has done a great job with this debut novel in making a very interesting story. I am looking forward to the second book.
review 2: I WAS GIFTED THIS BOOK BY AUTHOR.It did started little slow but after rain passed out and woke up boom it all started.... it pulled me right in to very end.. rain was amazing and strong women little mixed on her feeling but she has tons reason be like that... don't know if i like tommy like that if my best friend text me saying she was kidnapped no matter if i was guy or girl i'll help no matter what. He did prove how much he cared about her i'll give him that.... now Dominick where do i start with this guy he had me all over the place one minute i wanted to knock him out then loving him.. he needs to get he's checked out he has tons of hate in him but when he's with rain you see the loving and funny side of him.. cleo still book was amazing can't wait to read book 2 less
