I hope you are having a festive time. I just popped on to show you the second card out of four Scandinavian inspired Christmas cards using the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set. The full list of products are listed further down this post.
All my Scandinavian cards are inspired by my Danish childhood. My mum would buy a Norman pine tree in the beginning of December every year sourced by the local scout club. It would stay outside the house, still in the net until around the 20th or 21st where we would bring it inside and decorate it with lights and every branch would have a bauble, heart, Santa, elf, drum or angel on it. On the top we put a star. Then some silver tinsel and some danish flags. At this stage Christmas decorations would take up 85% of the space in the house leaving my dad incredibly grumpy.
For this card I made a little tag out of the card stock I stamped with the heart border stamp from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set. I die cut three hugs word scripts with the lovely thinlits dies and glued them together to make it more dimensional. I then dumped it on a versamark ink pad, covered it in gold embossing powder and heat set it. To be honest I didn’t have any gold card stock and I used a pebeo gold marker to colour the edges of a piece of whisper white card stock. That’s what’s great about having the stampin Blends as well. If you don’t have card stock in the colour you need – just use Blends to colour whisper white with.
