review 1: So much drama. Who knew lil ole Lexi could cause so much trouble?But for some reason I really enjoyed this story. All of the characters have grown in maturity and Lexi is finally figuring out what she wants rather than what everyone else around her wants. Raven still has a ways to go, but with Lexi by his side I can see things improving, as long as they actually stay together instead of the hot and cold nonsense they've been doing around each other. Glad I caved and got the second and third novel. Otherwise I would have been wondering what happened and I like to have the stories complete and read fully to absorb them to their extent. Let's just hope there is a happily ever after!
review 2: Review done for Hooked on Books3 ½ out of 5 starsThe Same Side picks up... more right where book 1 left off. Lexi has decided to take a chance on Raven Davenport. Having been controlled by her mother most of her life, Lexi decides that she wants to live her life her own way now.Raven is the star quarter back at their University. He is the typical player and bad boy. Lexi is determined to get to know the real Raven, the one he hides behind his tough guy exterior.Unfortunately Raven’s demons come back to haunt them and their relationship is put to the test. I though this book was ok. I think the story was a bit flat. There weren’t really any tense or exciting moments in this book. I liked that Lexi tried to be a strong person on her own and that she truly fought for what she wanted. Raven is hot and quite the catch but it was hard to believe if it was really sincere at times.I will read book 3 to see what happens to this couple. less
