review 1: This story takes place on the Pine Ridge Reservation. It centers on a man who left eighteen years earlier and became FBI agent (Manny Tanno). If you like mysteries that include a little India lore you'll like this book. This is the first book I've read by C. M. Wendelboe and I enjoyed it very much. It is also the first in a three part series. This book reminds me of Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn and Chee series which is about two native reservation police and has a lot of India lore and like this book well worth the time to check out.
