review 1: I think everyone who is a fan of the YA genre should have a try at reading this book, or at least this type of book.I am referring here to the kind of book that presents multiple situations, experiences of different characters , who by chance happen to interact with each other somehow. It gives us background information on who they are and how they can relate to other characters or to those with whom they meet.The beginning is especially interesting, whereas the rest of the plot gets somewhat slow- not 'falling asleep the next minute' - slow, but a kind of 'come on already: and then what happens??' - slow.I recommend this book to anyone who wants to try a different type of book, one that has an intricate series of secrets and friendships/ rivalries.
review 2: I... more feel a bit guilty, maybe my head wasn't in the right mood for this kind of book at the time or sunspot activity was high...whatever it was I could not get into this book. None of the characters really grabbed me, the world setting was good, but not outstanding, and I just didn't care what was happening. I was unable to (or more unwilling to) finish the book, but I still have it around to give it a take two someday. less
