review 1: New author (to me) and I like her writing style; will definitely read more from her. What tainted my enjoyment is the infidelity, especially having only given his vow a few days ago. It's just icky to fuck your whores when your wife wouldn't put out because she's an 18yr virgin with absolutely no experience. BUT, this is the Mafia; so okay, cut him some slack. However, when he finds out it was his whore who'd set up that performance for his wife to catch them fucking...and do nothing about it -makes him weak. AND THEN, when the same whore had someone roofied his wife with every intention of raping her to death and again, no retaliation -PATHETICALLY WEAK. Instead, the whore was sent to Europe (Yay, shopping spree!). I love BAMF heroes, sorry I didn't find it in Luca. As ... morefor Aria, again, weak...oh god, they will not survive.
review 2: WTH did I just read? Bound by Honor is an erotic romance in the unlikely setting of the Mafia. It is reminiscent of historical romances where the young, virginal, impossibly perfect heroine is forcibly married to the Alpha male character, yet it is a contemporary romance. While I did not buy into the whole Chicago and New York crime families or their problems with rival mobsters, I didn't care. Both the main and the side characters made me feel and moved me to follow their personal story and root for them. The heat between the two main characters was volcanic. If you liked Twist Me, by Anna Zaires, or Monster in his Eyes, by JM Darhower, you will likely enjoy Bound by Honor. less
