review 1: Disjointed, unfocused and pandering to his set audience. The singer of Slipknow explains his history with ghosts and goes into his theories of why they exist. This cold have been fun. His established audience might have enjoyed his ramblings, like a collection of long unedited blog entries, but for me, just reading it as a book, I was frustrated. The ghost stories were not that exciting and he had spent the bulk of his time deriding religion and coming up with his theory of what ghosts. The part that got me was the sense of self congratulation at the end, where he was so proud of his ideas. Like I said, I was not the right audience.
review 2: I'm a fan of music, period. But my preference leans more toward rock and heavy metal. I am also a fan of books. So, natu... morerally, I enjoy a good bio of a band or musician. I enjoyed Slash's book as well as Duff's book. Stephen Pearcy's, not so much. I have not read Taylor's first book but this book was given to me as a gift and looked interesting, so I gave it a spin. Although I'm not a big believer in the supernatural, I am open minded enough to know that I don't know. Simply because the supernatural has never been a part of my experience, certainly doesn't mean it does not exist. I mention all that simply to say, I am open-minded and the topic does interest me. For me, honestly, the book was just ok. The book was 1/3 ghost story, 1/3 scientific data, 1/3 sidetrack rambling. Also, it would have been nice if photos of the alleged documented phenomena had been included. less
