review 1: This was probably my least favorite of the trilogy. It just felt...really tossed together. I'll admit that the ending was cute and sweet, but it was expected. I was intrigued to see how things with Will would end up, but I felt that everything just moved WAY too fast. We were here and then there and then there - and there just wasn't time to absorb anything or time to focus on any one thing. It was almost like the author was playing hopscotch - trying to finish the book. I noticed good components throughout - but it was all too rushed for my liking. And the battle that should have probably taken the most time and should have probably been the most in depth was just glanced over like 'eh, it's the end. Who cares.' There wasn't any real action.Overall, it was a huge disappoi... morentment. I felt that most of the characters behaved unrealistically and when they did behave in a believable manner, it took two seconds for the author to explicitly explain how things were before moving on. I give it three starts because I liked the other two books and it was nice to see how things ended up. I just wish there was more and that the book itself wasn't so superficial.
review 2: Ellie has to ask Caden to save Will from the poison that is slowly killing him. But with the impending fight up against Lilith and Sammael, Ellie has little to no time and needs more power. She has to go all over the world to try and find help. But the help available on earth may not be enough...This has a fantastic build up. A few more characters are brought into the story as others are brought into the light. Ellie learns to wield a new weapon and love between characters is steamy as always. There were slow points, but for a five hundred page book it did very well. There were multiple points off conflict and they always seemed to be teetering on the edge with just barely enough time to be pulled back in.Everything wrapped up nicely in the end with hopes of a spin-off? This is an epic finally to the Angelfire trilogy. less
