review 1: 3.5 StarsGray is helping to search for the feline prince that went missing a few months before. When he follows the trail to a small town full of shifters of all kinds he feels like he is home. As a member of a wolf pack he is used to being surrounded by wolves. In this community he is the only wolf but he feels more at peace there than when he is at home. A lot of that could have something to do with the attractive bobcat shifter he meets, Beth. From his first look at her he wants to get to know her but he’s not sure if a mating is possible cross species. While he’s dealing with all these new feelings he is also helping track down the feline prince and then setting up a sting to catch the men responsible for the kidnapping. We met Gray in the previous book, Pac... morek Rogue, and I liked him then. I liked him more in this book. He’s not an Alpha but he is still a strong wolf with a need to feel like he belongs. He has been watching his friends and pack mates find their mates and move on with there lives but he is afraid that it may not happen for him. When he meets Beth and starts to feel things for her that he’s never felt he wants to stay and see where this could go. One of my favorite things about Gray is that he wasn’t an Alpha. Most of the books in the series feature the Alpha’s and I felt that Gray was a nice change of pace. He is still able to hold his own but he doesn’t want to run a pack, he just wants a family and to belong. With Beth, he finds a woman that is looking for the same thing and it doesn’t hurt that the attraction between the two is instant. I enjoyed all the new character’s in this book. Between Beth’s family and the shifters that were protecting the feline prince there are a lot of places for the series to go. It was also nice to branch out of the wolf shifters and see some felines and hawks as well. I would be interested in seeing more from them in future books. This is book five in the Were Chronicles series and they are best read in order. There are many reoccurring character's, continuing story arcs and some world building that isn't fully explained in each book.
review 2: This was so worth the wait!! I always love my Crissy Smith books. And this one was no different. This has such an amazing story line and a couple you really just love to love. There were new characters I cannot wait to know more about. The love and action were perfectly balance and this leave you wanting more! I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I just love how all of this series is linked so well and always leaves you wanting more!!! less

It was okay, right up until the end when it got awfully boring.
