review 1: This is a very interesting spin on shape shifters and their pack worlds. It was a quick read but I really enjoyed it. It was clear Justice (love that name!!!) and Saffa were meant for each other. He obviously had his reservations, which after reading the story, you understand better. But his initial stubbornness was frustrating. But I love Saffa's determination and how Justice stepped up to the plate and did right by her. Its very romantic and action packed and sexually intense as well. Adding the dynamic of Drew to the mix was very sexy and also very heartwarming. There are a multitude secondary characters that can have stories written about them too. I can't wait for more... Don't miss this. What a great start to a whole new world of sto... moreries.
review 2: Saffa has come home to the mountains and she really did not care what anyone thought – at least that was the game plan until she was chased almost to the point of death because of who she is and what she can do for a pack out to get ahead of the game.Saffa is a multimorph and she is as rare as they come and with her in a pack, the power that can come from that can last for generations if not centuries. The person giving chase at the moment is Bardo Redmaven and he wants Saffa either through free will or force and he will use any unhanded tactics to make this happen.Saffa however has her own plan and her plans includes choosing a mate because she is at that point where she must – Her first choice is Justice Ambervane, but he was being the tough logical alpha male that he always is and has more or less turns her down as he always does.Under Justice facade – yes, because some of his bravado is actually a facade – he bears a secret that he knows he cannot reveal to anyone especially to Saffa. When he is put in the position of claiming Saffa or facing a worse consequence he knows he only has one choice - get a third. Saffa needs protections if anything happens to him and more over – his chosen Sec would get the the job that he’s unable to get done himself.I can upon this book by accident really and from the first page in I was caught up and hooked. This is a phenomenally fast paced book and if you blink you will miss some vital info.HER CHOSEN WOLF is the first in Ms. Michaels new Were Chronicles series and with this book she lays alot of the ground work out for me to understand exactly where these protags are coming from and what they are aiming for. Not everyone or every situation was development but as a first book that was not a bad thing – it leaves quite a bit of the mystery to get through in subsequent book.While it took me a few pages to get used to the dynamics of what a multimorph is, I enjoyed the time it took to slow down because Ms. Michaels also use that time to develop the world that the Redmaven’s and the Ambervane’s are fighting to rule. There are some wonderful support cast, some that gets your goat and others you just want to cheer along side when they show their wicker sides. There was the usual wolfy issues happening in this book but I do like how inventive and creative Ms. Michaels was with not only the smut but the emotional aspect of the book as well.I am very pleased to have gotten in on the ground floor of this series from the first release – I will most definitely be following this author to see where she take these wonderful characters. less
