review 1: Time travel books are confusing. This one wasn't bad at all, but there were still a couple of things weren't clear to me. It wasn't until the end of chapter 7 that I realized who Em and Marina actually were. I sometime before that, I think, I started to suspect who the doctor really was too, which was confirmed in Chapter 8. The worst was the last chapter; the whole time loop thing must have happened again because it erased what happened in the previous chapter. ugh! James may have fixed some things, but did all his research get destroyed too, so no one else would recreate it??
review 2: Mystery, thrilling, intense, suspenseful, a bit confusing but really great are the first things I thought of when I read this book. I haven't read many time travel novels, but
... morethis one was awesome. There are two main characters (Em and Marina), but there's a twist: they're the same person from different time periods (4 years apart). The plot is a literally a race against time where one of these girls can survive the events that take place. Each chapter ends with something surprising so you have to keep reading. The author addressed the concept of one person can't see their future self without upsetting this mysterious and confusing "fabric of time". To see your future self or your past self apparently creates a paradox. Excellent story. less
