review 1: Cynthia knocks it off of the bookshelf again!My bookshelf of Eden is a keeper, with no snakes, but plenty of temptation at every turn…of the page that is…(ha!) I have been on a Cynthia Eden kick lately and have read almost all of her paranormal series’, loving every single one of them! But I think that this series is my favorite (so far…). It starts off with Hotter After Midnight with Dr. Emily Drake & Detective Colin Gyth, continues on with Midnight Sins featuring Detective Todd Brooks (Colin’s partner) & Cara Maloan and wraps up with Midnight’s Master starring…well if you haven’t read the books, I don’t want to say who stars in the last book! I didn’t read the blurbs before starting the series and boy was I glad!!! I was very surprised and intrigue... mored with the choice of star characters for Midnight’s Master. In fact, so intrigued I actually read almost the entire book in one sitting! (which for me & my health, that is quite a feat!). This series is more intense and suspenseful than the prior ones I have read, but I really enjoyed that! I know that I have said this before, but Cynthia’s style of writing, her unique take on age-old folklore (vamps, demons, etc.) & her absolutely charming characters that you fall in love with right away make for books you really need to add to your bookshelves to keep and read over & over again. I truly love Cynthia’s books. I start reading them & have a hard time putting them down, well at least until I have a bruise on my forehead and nose prints on my tablet screen from trying to read just one more chapter! So please one-click over & get these, and all others, by Cynthia Eden. You won’t be disappointed!!
review 2: This book is about Atlanta detective Todd Brooks and Cara Maloan (a succubus demon who feeds off sexual energy). Cara is a suspect in a string of murders. This had me hooked from beginning to end. I'm so glad I discovered Cynthia Eden! I love her characters and her hot and sssssexy alpha males and the women that can take them on. I'm looking forward to the third and final book in this series. I've been dying to read Niol's story! less
