review 1: This book was just okay. I like detective stories but some parts were hard to follow because there were so many characters to keep straight. The two plot lines could have been interesting except that Preston never mentions witnessing anything. I found that odd since he "talked" about everything else. I also found the ending kind of rushed. It was almost as if the author got tired and only wanted to write one more chapter so tired all the loose ends up with one quick paragraph.
review 2: This book didn't sit all that well with me. While I always enjoy a good murder mystery or crime book this one didn't have a strong enough writing style or "hook" to make up for the crudeness of the main character. I enjoyed reading more about the detectives and their story than
... more that of the focused character who was the murderer. I enjoyed the read, it was very quick but I'm glad it was free for my kindle and won't be a title to be seen on my shelves at home. less
