review 1: Rather a sweet story. The buildup of tension was slow and when it did reach it's climax, the tension wasn't sustained for very long. I kept reading mostly out of curiosity to see if the author would ultimately explain the mysteries behind each protagonists demons. The book would have benefited from more careful editing, as the detractors screamed 'ameteur', but They weren't such obstacles that I seriously considered putting the book down before I reached the ending, so I give this escapist novel three stars.
review 2: What I loved most about this book was how it took its time. Too many books jump right into the love story, boy meets girl, falls in love at first sight, happily ever after..this wasn't like that. It was so much more realistic, they took their t
... moreime to fall in love. He actually did not like her in the beginning. Such a great story, really enjoyed her character and absolutely fell in love with Chris "Shooter" Sullivan..ugh loveee him. One thing I will say though, whoever edited this book was clearly on something or fell asleep because there are a lot of mistakes. I am also currently reading the secon book, Tex, and the editing is worse in this one...horrible. But Shooter was def my favorite so far out of the series, and one of the better books I have read in awhile. less

Free on Amazon...low ratings for the rest of the series, but a free read? I'll give it a go.
