review 1: By the time I read "Deathblow" I'd already read "Deathtrap" and "Deathscape", and I wanted more stories of the Broslin PD and their lives and loves. I was invested in the town and its police department and eagerly anticipating more, and this book did not disappoint. From its high adrenaline beginning, with our hero facing death, to the final curtain, it had me riveted. I was worried for the characters, wanting to tell them NO! when I could see them wandering into danger, hoping someone would run to the rescue once they got themselves in a fix. As usual with a consummate professional like Ms Marton, all the characters were real and their situations satisfying. No deus ex machina here; they got out of all their difficulties in a believable way. The dialogue sparkled, all loo... morese ends were tied up, everything was great, except one thing: the book ended. I understand there's another instalment in the series coming. I'll be looking out for it.
review 2: This is another great book by Dana Marton. I only recently discovered her books and now I can’t seem to read them fast enough. While each book is suspenseful, romantic and hard to put down once you start, the story lines are very different so in no way are you reading the same story again just with different lead characters. This book seemed a bit more emotional to me – the heroine has an abusive ex-boyfriend.Deathblow is the fourth in the Broslin Creek series. All of the books standalone but you might enjoy them more if you read them in order. I can’t wait to read the next story in this series. Here are they are listed in order:#1-Deathwatch - free right now#2-Deathscape#3-Deathtrap – loved them all but this one is my favorite.#4-DeathblowI was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review but I got the first 3 on my own. less
