review 1: Is there anything you wouldn't do for your brother or sister? When Hope's brother is arrested for the murder of the town's beloved baseball coach she sets out to prove he didn't do it. To make things more difficult, her brother is "special" and stopped speaking years ago. Mackall beautifully describes the relationship between Hope and Jeremy through heart-stopping emotion and breathtaking imagery leaving the reader pondering just how far they would go to stand up for what they believe.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. I usually don't like mysteries but I think it was good. It's not one of my favorites and probably won't be very memorable but it was a fun, quick read. I especially like that it was more about saving the wrongly accused person rather than
... morea whodunit. It made it feel very realistic and you feel bad for Jeremy. I think that Mackall was good with having multiple suspects throughout the book, whereas many mysteries have it pinned on one person for the whole book then you find it was a different person in the last chapter. less
