review 1: i'm not sure about poems about made-up zorbas, given henry huff and, well, sasha fierce. they feel a little .............. slick? so does her language sometimes. fun (like the power pink)and syntax pow, but more like word games (and fluttering identities) than ... i dunno, feels artistry. but the name zorba rules. the poems, i think, are for someone else though -- i think someone else would enjoy more than me.
review 2: This is a fantastic book... fan-fucking-tastic people!!! Pafunda takes language out to lunch, twirls its head round and round, lolls it about a bit all the while rearranging and contorting it into an entirely new formation/species. Zorba is my new hero, a he/she poly-vocalic meshing of what both the speaker sees and what we the reader can interp... moreret into this new design. A linguistic spectacle which never lets. This slim hot pink book of missives is really hot in every which way in its wooing. less
