review 1: Title: Chasing JusticeAuthor: Danielle StewartGenre: Mystery/Suspense/RomanceRating: 4 StarsFormat: Kindle BookI got this book for free on the recommendation of a friend, who liked it so much she bought the sequel. I pretty much liked the book. It was well-written and the characters drawn out pretty well. Not the best I've ever read, but worthy of a decent review. The "almost sex" sort of bothered me. I feel like I'm being led down a path to some explicit sex scenes in the future, so I hesitate turning pages, as I don't want to go there. It never quite happened, but who knows about future books? I'm also bothered by the fact that the women in these books always are beautiful beyond belief and the men are all weight-lifters from the cover of GQ Magazine. They're always hand... moresome and muscular and compassionate and gentlemanly. I know it's fiction, but it seriously stretches the bounds of reality for me. If you like your fictional men like that, it's great. I give the author points for keeping it clean. No foul language or gratuitous and explicit sex scenes.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book but noticed two things that were inaccurate. 1) prosecutors don't wear thousand dollar suits because they are highly underpaid. And 2) prosecutors are not able to take probono cases as this author has her prosecuting character say he does. Prosecutors work for the state and try cases for the people they do not have the luxury of doing probono cases in my experience. Other than that I enjoyed the book and want to know what happens next with these characters. less
