review 1: I first read this when Danielle was posting the stories free. I since then, have bought and read the re-release and let me just say, Danielle is amazing! I won't give you a break down of the book in this review, because, let's face it, most everyone has beaten me to that. This was my very first adult romance and I regret NOTHING! It was a fantastic read and I automatically fell in love with Hannah! Mack took some growing, because he comes off not so nice at first. Their story captured me (pun unintended, but I like it, so I'm keeping it!)and I fell instantly in love with the characters, the book, and the author. I have been a dedicated fan ever since! Please read this, because you will not regret it! This review is completely and truly 110% honest!
review 2: I ... morehave to say I enjoyed this book very much. It was captivating enough that I read it in one sitting. Ms. Taylor created a wonderful set of characters. I was surprised that almost the entire book was just the interaction of Hannah and Mac, the two main characters. It takes a talented writer to keep a story moving forward without secondary characters. The character of Mac was very well written allowing the reader to see just how damaged he was. Against another male character Hannah may have seemed too sweet but she acted as the perfect foil to balance out the darkness residing in Mac. Separately these two characters might have seemed out of place, but they played off of each other perfectly pulling the reader in and having them root for the growing relationship between the two. We wanted Hannah to heal Mac and we wanted Mac to let her in under the walls he had erected around himself. If you are wanting a quick read with engaging characters I highly recommend this book. less
