I am going to be doing a new life experiment in the new year. I have taken a break from being my own science project but I am back on my game. Starting in the new year I will be doing a casserole project.
What this mean you might ask (unlikely, but let me feed my ego)? I will cook 2 casseroles a week for as long as possible. and eat only casseroles for lunches and dinners with exceptions limited to eating at others homes and event related eating out.
Why you ask (See bracket above)? I think that the casserole has lost a lot of favour over the years. Is this correct? Does it deserve this banishing? Also casseroles are generally pretty cheap and easy to make. Saving both time and money. The last year I have found my eating expenses rising, I want to reign them in. So I am going to get my 1950s house wife on and start making some casseroles. Maybe even wear a dress, pearls and heels with a cute apron just to keep it pop culture appropriate.
I will try to blog about my experience making and eating these culinary delicacies. Provide reviews on overall prep, cost and taste.
