review 1: For those on a grain-free eating plan, this is the cookbook you must have. I've tried dozens of the recipes and all are easy and delicious. I will say that many of the recipes have a long list of ingredients which might be intimidating to the novice (or shortcut seeking) cook. I love the basic sandwich bread and the chocolate cake especially... they are excellent substitutes for the wheat versions.
review 2: Pros:Beautiful pictures. Lots of great ideas for Paleo and other special diets. Most of the recipes are new (i.e. not published on her blog) and unique ideas. Cons:Overall I found the recipes could have been written more clearly more concisely. Some of the recipes require special equipment such as a dehydrator and an ice-cream maker. While this isn't ne
... morecessary a bad thing, the need for special equipment should be highlighted at the top of the recipe and not buried in the directions.The index is terrible.I felt like the author assumes readers have endless free time to spend in the kitchen and a large budget as well. less
