review 1: I own the whole Daniel Leary / Adele Mundy series on audiobook, except for the first. I've read the printed version of the first several times and listened to all the others up through book 9, The Road of Danger, several times as well. None of them are great Literature, but they are quick moving plots, enjoyable returning characters, and the save-the-day spy (Mundy) is a librarian! How cool is that?
review 2: Another highly entertaining tale of Daniel Leary, a sort of Horatio Hornblower in the distant future; and of his friend, a spy named Adele Mundy. This story struck me as a bit more formulaic than most in this series and Drake has a habit of using pet phrases of dialogue and stock descriptions in novel after novel, which might be a reasurring shorthand to
... moresome readers but strikes me as a little lazy. Still, these are minor quibbles. The story is rousing and the heroics are satisfying. less

One of my favorite Leary books so far. I "may" have even been emotional at the end.
