review 1: It's an easy read given the format (a series of short articles grouped by theme), but I also got tired of reading the same stuff over and over. Most of the articles are about three very common topics for people working at startups (fail fast/don't get attached to ideas, hire top talent, measure everything), so there's really nothing new if you've been into the startup world for some time. There's also no hard data, only opinions/advice.That said, if the startup environment is new to you, the book is packed with good advice.
review 2: Full of start-up advice you've probably already heard elsewhere, but repeated by people involved in TechStars. This book is more a marketing tool for TechStars than anything else. The issue is that the target market--people involve... mored in the startup world--won't get much out of it, and those who are interested in learning about startups and what to do at a startup would be better served by reading something else (e.g. Founders at Work). less
