review 1: It’s Christmas David is a story of David misbehaving during Christmas time. He streaks down the street, peaks at his presents, and steals the cookies. He does all sorts of bad things that would get him on the naughty list and brought coal. He has a dream he gets a letter from Santa that says he’s been too naughty and gets no presents. He wakes up to a real letter from Santa and then has a Merry Christmas. This teaches children it is important to follow rules and not be sneaky or they could be punished. There is no benefit in sneaking around; it will only backfire. This book is made for middle age grade school. It is fiction for all ethnicities, races, and genders.Shannon, D. (2010). This particular book revolves around Christmas Day and how they have to tell David no so many times starting with no peeking. I would use this book in my classroom to teach my students about style. Style is defined as the way a writer writes and it varies from writer to writer. For example, David Shannon's style in his No David books consists of a lot of repetition of saying No David.
