review 1: Spunky pastry chef, Jules and sexy Sweet Man Cody have each suffered heartache and sadness. But when Jules lands a huge catering gig with the Cruz family, Nashville's upper echelon, she learns that even though people let you down, family and friends have your back. And even though Cody' s heartache was caused by the Cruz family, specifically Sienna Cruz, his ex fiance, he steps right up to the plate for Jules. Together Jules and Cody realize that they can love again. A fun, quirky read with great characters who will make you laugh and cry, but mostly laugh! I really enjoyed book two of this series.
review 2: I absolutely loved this book! There were a couple of grammar bugaboos, but it didn't really matter. Jules is funny, independent and seems like a perso
... moren I would love to meet. I see myself buying some of the treats she makes in her bakery. And Cody ... what can I say about Cody? He has a special place in my heart because he reminds me of the hero of my e-book, "Mr. Short, Dark...& Funny," not in looks but in his actions. Except for the part where Cody keeps things bottled up inside, that reminds me of the hero of "Sweeter Than W(h)ine." I love the secondaries (Aunt Tulip, Midge, etc.) and wanted to cause bodily harm to Jacques and Sienna.I liked this book better than the first in the series -- if you haven't read it yet, get a copy. You won't be sorry! less
