review 1: The book was a cute idea, but there definitely needs to be some work. The writing is slow in some parts, too fast in others. Things just seem to happen, but don't make sense. The whole story pretty much drags on and on and doesn't make sense. The main character is hard to like. No one likes a know it all who magically gets everything in life she wants. Things are not easily relatable and I found myself rolling my eyes and skipping pages. I just don't think it's very well written.
review 2: This novella was like a modern day fairy-tale, which features an Irish female main character who now resides in New York. The setting was well described and I could almost feel the cold and see the snow despite it being summer right now. She starts off working as a journalist
... more but secretly, she's a woman of many hidden talents and is quite a jack of all trades and master of anything she desires to do and I mean EVERYTHING! She is a little too perfect at times and simply brimming with confidence that she can do it and yes she can, so hats off to her for going for it and getting it. In fact, she made me quite jealous really because I wish I could churn out hit screenplays like that. I enjoyed the easy writing style of this author and I will be reading more of her work in the future. And if this one ever gets made into a sequel or say a longer piece, then I would very much like to read it for I did enjoy the story and following the various players involved in it. less
