review 1: This was my first Kindle Short download. I've read several, though not all, of the Odd Thomas series, so this prequel was a nice reminder of Oddie's paranormal abilities. I especially like the cameo appearances by Elvis Presley. Most of all, I like the way Koontz mixes humor and catastrophe. I've always felt that horror and the paranormal do not have to be all blood and guts. Glad to know that Koontz agrees.
review 2: The prequel to the Odd Thomas series. It's a story we know almost by heart (those of us who have followed the series from book one) with a few added hints and details that have thus far been hidden. The story is short and reinforces most of the stuff we already know, while dropping a couple of very thinly veiled hints in what to come in January wh... moreen the final book - Saint Odd - will be released. Will the gypsy fortune tellers prophesy be right? And how will it come to pass. Four odd weeks until we find out. less
